Equilibrium

A collaborative project between Veega Tankun and Abi Everett – exploring the push and pull of shapes until perfect balance was found in form, texture and composition.

Veega’s eye for light, contrast, and composition within her photography as well as her prop making experience and knowledge, combined with Abi’s graphic design and illustration background, and their shared love of colour and bold, geometric shapes made for a striking outcome.

Titled ‘Equilibrium’ this project started off as loose sketches in a notebook, and grew into 18 individual shapes, each constructed or finished by hand. Combining 3D printed organic shapes, wooden spheres with hand drilled indents, textured spheres and part of a chrome slinky, the compositions are all totally unique, and a different depth to the shapes is captured within each image.
